album of the day:
dr. dog "shame, shame" ~
so today starts the first day of this terrific challenge i put myself into! in case you need a refresher course, let me remind you that i will be listening to one new album every day for the month of april. 30 days, 30 new albums. let it be known that this does not mean new releases; this simply means albums that i have never heard before.
i decided to start with this album because you can listen for free off of NPR's website. (thanks, AG!) its official release date is on tuesday 4/6.
at first i started to dig it, and then i wasn't diggin' it so much, but now i'm listening to "where'd all the time go?" and i think i'm diggin' it again. i also know absolutely nothing about dr. dog but am curious to learn all i can since they will be at mountain jam this year... and so will i!
moral of the story: i don't hate it
favorite song(s): 'later' and 'mirror, mirror'
favorite lyric: "when you can't be yourself / there's just too much to be" from 'i only wear blue'
