i wish i could say i loved it, but i can't! don't get me wrong: the dead weather is a kick ass band with a kick ass live show. however, i thought prospect park bandshell (sidenote: great space) was the wrong place for this kind of show. i would have preferred and indoor venue so that the ROCK could bounce off the walls! at first we were in the crowd and then we headed toward the back so we could have more space, but we could easily have been outside the venue walls and everything would have sounded just as great... a unanimous consensus by the group.
of course i was bummed that jack white didn't steal the spotlight as often as i thought he should have, but that's ok! he kicked ass on drums!
moral of the story: i didn't hate it but i'm pissed i spent the money when i could have rocked out without going in. (second sidenote: i'm broke as a joke.)
