this saturday night, rosewood ghosts will be releasing their self-titled debut album with a kick ass rock show at sullivan hall in nyc. showtime is at 8P and tickets are $20 (online or at the door, the choice is yours), which gets you the live music plus a physical copy of the album.

follow these folks on facebook and myspace and twitter (oh my!) because they will be touring behind their album in the upcoming months. plus, you can listen to the album now and learn all the words so you can dance around and sing along on saturday night. rock... on!

it's wednesday, it's raining, and i've been up since 5:15am. but i took my parents to the airport (heyloooo, key west!) so i can have their car for a few days, i went for a ridiculous 25 minute run (ridiculous because the wind was absolutely absurd this morning!!), made myself breakfast (!!!), and now i'm at work... chillin'.

i have off tomorrow and have many a things planned for the day. i hope it doesn't rain! it always seems to rain when i have the day off :(

might go to the movies tonight, might chill home and watch the office. i haven't really decided... i guess it depends on where my brain takes me after the 5pm hour.

moral of the story is that i'm in good spirits right now... and it feels great.

so sorry i've been MIA, loyal blog readers. i've been feeling... wierd. i'm not sure what it is but something in me just doesn't feel right. i'm not depressed, because that's a whole different feeling. i simply feel disconnected from the rest of the world. this is probably 99% my fault since i can't seem to make plans with those who want nothing to do with me and i can't seem to keep plans with those that mean the world to me. what the fuck is going on?! am i in the matrix? no, i don't think it's that. i think i just need to do a little self-assessment, figure out what's going on inside my brain, think of all the good things that make me happy.

first and foremost, a big huge THANK YOU to everybody who supported this challenge. whether it was through recommendations, comments, or simply reading along, your participation and support was so generous that i can't even express in words how much i appreciate it. so again... THANK YOU!

with that being said, it's time to give out the superlatives:

this "30 albums in 30 days" challenge was seriously quite a challenge, if you can believe it. after all, i had to dedicate at least one hour per day to sit in front of a computer and be consciously paying attention to listening to music and reading lyrics. this was in addition to the time i already spent working, sleeping, eating, running (or not running, fuck me!), watching the office (yes, seriously), and other leisurlely activities like drinking and making out (or not making out, fuck me!)

however, the purpose of this challenge was to get me familiar with different albums from a variety of artists and i 110% succeeded in that aspect. i personally couldn't ask for anything more than that! this challenge will certainly happen again, i'm just not sure when. i will certainly be asking for more of your recommendations and would, once again, welcome any and all albums of any and all genres.

i will be unveiling a new challenge in the upcoming weeks; one that i am super excited about and one that is very uncharacteristic of me.

rainy monday blues
