hurricane irene in pictures
i was fortuante enough to get out of harms way (read: the flood zone that hoboken becomes in even the most minor of rain showers) and camp out at my parents' house in central jersey. i was also fortunate that none of my belongings or the property that i reside on had any damage to report. however, some people were not so lucky...

well, my friends. i am here! i know, i know. i said this all before: that i was going to take more time, put more of my energy into writing and creating and simply being THERE - wherever there may be.
truth be told, i got sidetracked. by life. by the loves and the losses and the whirlwind of information surrounding me every second of every day. by the heat of the summer sun and the temptation of being elsewhere. it got to be too much! the mixture of living life and loving pop culture was overwhelming me and rather than let it consume me and (ultimately) get the best of me - which, in retrospect, doesn't sound like such a terrible idea... - i stepped away.
now, i have it together. now, i am ready to bring it.

I'M ALIVE !!!!!!
hey friends, i know it's been quite awhile since i've tended to my site. and for that... I'M SORRY! a lot has happened in the world: oprah said goodbye, weinergate, kim kardashian got engaged. man oh man, the world doesn't stop turning just because i stop writing, which is a good thing! that's how it should be!
as for me, i'm ok. i'm living. i've been working a lot (BOO!) and phishing a lot (YAYAYAY!) and trying new things (MEHHH!). i'm anxious to get this summer (concert series) going because although it will be a hot one, it will be a great one. i've been going out and making out and meeting new people, 'tis what the story of a single girl's life should be. and i'm happy to say that i'm... content. not happy so much, i think i'm still working on it. but not miserable (at least not by any social means...). i have a lot of changes i need to make, which i'm going to try to work on in the next couple of weeks. allergies are killing me, what else is new.
moral of the story is this: i am making sure to make this a priority of mine. it's a hobby, it's a passion, and it's a release. sure, it's just pop culture. (just. pop. culture.) but it's also my life. and if writing makes me happy, then writing is what i shall do!
stay tuned, ya'll. i'm baaaaaaack :)
